Catalina Shores at Ocotillo in Chandler, AZ 85248 has been one of my favorite areas of the valley for quite some time. I am definitely biased, as my parents moved into this community in the early 2000’s. Easy access to the freeways, employment centers, Entertainment facilities, shopping and more make it an ideal destination for any looking to participate in South East Valley Living.
There are a multitude of companies within minutes of these homes that employ tens of thousands of Arizona residents including Intel, Orbital, Target, Wells Fargo, Infusion soft, Paypal and more. Also from this area you will be located within 15-20 minutes of most everything in the South East Valley and 30-45 minutes from most of Phoenix and Scottsdale as well.
One of the main attractions to this area is the conveniently located Chandler Traditional Academy, Independence Campus, which is within this square mile. You will also find Chandler’s Snedigar Recreation Center and Sportsplex. The facility is a 90-acre sports complex located in South Chandler, just south of Ocotillo Road off of Basha Road. Amenities in the complex include: two professional sized baseball fields, four softball fields, four Little League baseball fields, 12 soccer fields, the Chandler skate park, a dog park, a full-sized cricket field, and a 9,000-square-foot recreation center. The Snedigar Recreation Center provides a variety of classes and programs, special events, and other services such as ball field/light and pavilion rentals to the citizens of Chandler. The recreation center also provides rental space for meetings, special events, and other activities.
